38 weeks and 5 days........ Hello Ethan!

Well a lot has been going on this past week!!!

On Monday we went to the doctor and we set an induction date for December 10th. Since the baby was already measuring so big, they didn't want to wait till 40 weeks, because he could possibly be 9-10 pounds.... UMMMMMMM ouch...... But she stripped my membranes, just in case, to see if maybe i would go into labor on my own without having to be induced. I was already 3 cm dilated and I know tons of people who had their membranes stripped and it didn't work for them so i wasn't to concerned...

So after that the reality that it was my last week at school and we would be welcoming out little one in a week freaked me out!!! There was still so much to do! BUT i did like the idea that it was a set date, planned and I wouldn't have to rush or worry about my parents making it down from Dallas. There wouldn't be any panic, or unknown, we would wake up, get ready, and go to the hospital MOnday morning. For those of you who know me, know that the whole idea of having a set plan was GREAT because i like to have things planned out...... to bad things go always go to plan... haha! So i limited my activity, ate bland foods, and did as little laking as possible because i did NOT want to go out before Friday... i was already leaving school a week earlier than planned.... i didn't want to go out even earlier!!!

I said goodbye to my kiddos and it was very surreal that i would not see them again till March..... it felt weird....

Friday, December 7th, we went to dinner with some friends at Lupe Tortilla down the street. Since I had made it to Friday I ate all the jalepenos I wanted, thinking, im done with work so if I go into labor, no big deal, but  didn't really believe the whole spicy food thing..... haha We arrived back home around 8:30-9:00 and watched an episode of Big Bang Theory. Then at around 10 i decided i was tired and was going to bed, and left Ryan on the couch. I took of my make up, put on my PJs and climbed into bed........ well about 10 minutes later i felt this overwhelming sense of water..... like i had to pee.. overcome be and i literally JUMPED/FELL out of bed and made it to the first tie of the bathroom and SPLASH... my water broke....... WEll just a little FYI for those of you have never had your water break... its not like TV where its just a splash and done..... it keeps on going.... and going.... so anyways... i was in shock.... what IS THIS!!!! I had always discussed with my doctor about how close do my contraction need to be before i call, what do they feel like, etc... but we never discussed my water breaking... i didn't know what to do!!! I wasnt contracting or anything... so i stumbled and got Ryan and had him call his sister who is a nursery nurse at a hospital and she told us we needed to call the doctor and head to the hospital..... well by this point i was shaking... it was happening... what about my PLAN!!!!!! I mean we had bags packed, but we unpacked them each night so we could use out stuff... so while Ryan is gathering up our bags, getting dressed and loading the car, i did what every normal person does.... i stood their and put my make up back on...... REALLY!!! haha i guess if my plan was out the window i was at least gonna look good!!! We called my parents, my mom had just taken a sleeping pill, and told them it was time to get in the car and leave!!! Then we got into the car for the last time as a family of two and drove to Methodist Hospital.

We arrived and were checking into our room at 11:15, my water had broke at 10:15... we made good time! They hooked me all up and we settled in for our stay and awaited what was next! Ryans family started arriving and my parents arrived at 3:am... they made good time too!!! They had started me on Pitocin, a low dose, and my contractions were pretty constant, but bare bearable. However, i started to get the shakes pretty bad and was nervous i wouldn't be able to be still for the Epideral, so we decided to go ahead and get it....... The doctor came in and i told him that my last 2 vertebrate were fused to my pelvis, just to let him know, he said ok no problem we normally dont go that low anyways.. so he gave me some litocain.... OUCH.... then he began to find a spot.... and looked... and poked.. and looked and poked.... i could tell things weren't going right, i could tell my the blunt feelings i felt, and the body language of my nurse..... The doctor then said he kept hitting bone and was afraid that my vertebrates were fused higher up and he couldnt find break...PANIC PANIC PANIC....... i started freaking out... OMG im not gonna get an epideral.... i can't do this!!!!!!! Then he finally found a spot..... THANK GOD!!!! he set me up, and left and i asked the nurse.. so does it normally take that long.. and she said umm no.. thats the longest ive ever seen it take... of course!! only me! haha

so the epideral set in and i was dilated at about a 6cm when i got it. About an hour to two hours after i go the epideral, i started getting the shakes again... they said its your body reacting to labor and some get it worse than others... well I was violently shaking and then i couldn't feel my throat and my tongue went numb and it was hard for me to breath...... so they had the epideral guy come in and he made sure it wasnt anything to do with that, and then they put my on oxygen because i started hyperventilating... i dont know of i passed or or went to sleep, but woke up a time later and was better... but i REALLY thought i was about to die.... scary!!!

Then things were pretty normally after that, they would come in and move my position about every 30 minutes because Ethan would be good, then he would decide he wasn't happy and his heart rate would start to drop so they would move me and then he'd be good.... then be unhappy again.... back and forth....... then the time came to start pushing..... which wasn't as scary i thought.. because you cant feel anything! haha! SO we had asked my mom and his mom to be in the room so we went to get them and then it was ON! I pushed for about an 1- 1/2 and then out popped our little angel... well i say popped.. but my mom and Ryan said he like FLEW out!

After that its kinda blur, cleaning the baby, fixing me, cutting the cord, and holding him for the first time!! It was such a surreal experience, and having him wasn't like anything i thought it was going to be, no yelling, no crying, just a calm experience... it was very surreal!!

 My little man!!

Father and Son!!

Our Family of Three

Meeting his cousins!!!

Watching the Texans and Cowboys game with Daddy

Already a poser!!!

Friends coming to visit!!!

He was born on December 8, 2012 at 1:28pm and weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long :) It still blows my mind that all that fit inside me!!! Ethan and my mom now share a birthday! The rest of the day was spent with family and friends all coming to see the little angel. The first night it was so hard for me to sleep because i couldn't stop looking at him! he was so alert and cute!!! the next day we woke up, got my comfortable breastfeeding and spent more time with family and friends. That night, the second night, was bad.... and id heard the second night wasn't good so i was prepared.. but he just cried for FOREVER!!!! The nurse came in and tried to help us, the nursery nurse tried to help us, but nothing helped! So the nursery took him for 3 hours... although i didn't sleep while he was gone.... it made me anxious!!! Monday Ethan was circumcised..... that was the only time i cried at the hospital..... and I didn't even look at it!! But just knowing what happened made me so upset!!! Around 3 that afternoon we were discharged to take our little man home!!! My parents had been staying at our house and had a roast in the crock pot waiting for us as we adjusted to being home and Ryans family came over as well!

                                                                       Heading home!!!
We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends surrounding us in this exciting time!!! Ethan is one lucky GUY!!! Now our life as a family of three can begin!!

Week 37....... HOLY COW!

Week 37.... my poor poor skin!! There is NO WAY i can get any bigger!

This week we went to the doctor again! I am 80% effaced and dilated to a full 1 cm. We talked about things we needed to get ready and what i need to be looking for in regards to false labor and real labor. We will be setting the induction date at our next appointment... which seems so surreal to me!!! Im ready to be DONE with this pregnancy thing...... but the whole having the kid part........ absolutely terrifies me!!!!!

This week also put up the christmas tree!!!! Its so pretty and i cant believe that by the time Christmas is here i will be holding our little man while looking at the tree..... CRAZY!!!!

My Mary Kay business is going really well! I really love all the products and seeing so many people satisfied with the products they are using is great! If you need any ideas for Christmas gifts check out the satin hands set or satin lips set! They ROCK! www.MaryKay.com/RebeccaDietz

At school, my kids are afraid I'm gonna pop at any time!!! This week was very busy and Friday we took a field to to the Houston Museum of Natural Science!!! It was a great time and I took full advantage to try and walk this baby toward coming without having to be induced! We definitely walked A LOT.... i was so exhausted when we got back to school!

Saturday was Ryan's Christmas Party at Maggianos! I wore some super cute tall boots.... well i haven't really worn them in like 2 months... and OMG my feet are killing me!!! But it was a great time and finally putting faces to names that I hear about was great!

Sunday we had our Mary Kay Christmas Party! Ryan was SUPER excited about going to this one! HAHA!! It was a fun time and I won a FABULOUS Betsy JOhnson Bag that a $100 in it!!! SCORE!!! I brought my hospital bag just in case, since it was an hour away.... luckily it wasn't needed!!!

We go to the doctor again Monday... cant wait to see when our little man will be arriving!!!

Week 36...... 4 to go!!!

End of week 36.......

Well this week started off with a BANG! We went to the Doctor Monday afternoon for our 36 week ultrasound and to see how everything was progressing. We went for the ultrasound and i knew he was gonna be big because i ca just FEEL the difference the last few weeks, like my center just felt SO HEAVY... i was thinking.... EHHHHH 6 pounds maybe? Well after she did all her measurements so said ok he's about 7 pounds 8 ounces.......... WHAT!!!!!!! with 4 weeks left to go????? according to all the baby stuff I've read they gan about a 1/2 pound a week.... so thats 2 more pounds...... that like an almost 10  pound kid!!!! UMMMMMMM i dunno who this kid thinks he is coming put of... but there is NO coming back from 10 pounds.....

Now i know many of you are thinking don't believe what they say, there is no way to prove how much he really weighs..... BUT my other 2 friends who also go to my doctor had them be spot on with their kiddos weight both times..... so there record seems to be pretty good. Also, my doctor is very much into letting things happen naturally the first time....... but after hearing the weight and seeing the ultrasound she brought up inducing at 39 weeks. She said i may go into labor naturally before then anyways..... but she said lets wait and see how you are progressing and we will make a decision at your 38 week appt. She then pointed out that the baby isn't weighing that much because he's long... its because he is a little FATTY! She showed us his big layer of fat around his belly on the ultrasound..... malnourished, this kid is NOT!

She said we needed to go ahead and gets bags packed, just in case, and preregister at the hospital.

Since we are so far along we didn't go to Dallas for Thanksgiving, instead my Mom, Dad, and little brother Aaron came to Houston to spend Thanksgiving with Ryan and I and Ryan's side of the family.
It was so great to be able to spend time with both sides of our family and to see how well they all get along!

While they were here my parents helped out around the house with my dad helping Ryan hang cabinets in the garage and my mom helped me decorate for christmas and rearrange the kitchen for all the baby stuff!

Things are coming together!!! Now we just need Ethan to come and hang out with us!

P.S. I am getting my CD of our Maternity pics in the next 2 weeks! But here is another one of my FAVORITES!!!!

35 weeks is ending.. and I have hit the wall

End of week 35

20 week difference..... nuts!

This week i realized how insanely close we are to the end of this pregnancy... and it has be totally freaked! I realized that after Thanksgiving break... i have 3 weeks left at school before my due date. THAT'S IT!!! Talk about anxiety attack!

I have had some extremely uncomfortable back pain this week...... which is NOT my friend! I have also had pain on the right top side of my stomach, like he is just sitting there pushing against my side! I feel like he is EVERYWHERE!!! he must be running out of room, and taking out his frustration on me! For example... I will feel him in the right side of my ribs, and at the same time, kicking my right hip bone and messing with the left side all at once! does he have like 4 legs or something?!?!?!?! So, i have officially hit the wall of "uncomfortableness".  My heartburn has been ridiculous!! But I am trying Pepcid AC and also Evamor water.. hoping that one or both will calm this heartburn situation. The hand pain, is progressively getting worse, lasting longer, and is now effecting both hands pretty equally. I haven't found anything to help with that or anything to battle the insomnia! I am so exhausted, but when it comes time to sleep, i can maybe grab 1-2 hours at a time, which is frustrating! The next 3 weeks will probably be the last time I get GOOD sleep for a REALLY LONG TIME... and yet, i cant get any!!! SERIOUSLY??? But i just have to keep telling myself, you have 4 weeks left, you can do this, the last 7 months of my pregnancy has been a breeze, i was due SOME type of symptoms...... ill take them for a month to make up for the comfortable last 7 months... and I know that it is all worth it!!

Tomorrow Ryan took the day off so we can run some errands and go to the doctor at 10:30! This is our 36 week appt and we will get an update on his position, weights estimate, length, and how I am progressing..... I have definitely been "feeling" different this past week.... which makes me feel that maybe ill be having him sooner than later! EKKKK

This weekend we also had a garage sale with Ryan's family to try to get RID of all the extra junk in our house!!!! It went well, and we definitely got rid of some stuff.. the rest is Good Will bound! We have also been trying to get the upstairs organized.... which seems to be a never ending battle!!!

Today, Sunday, we went for our hospital tour!! Now I have had 2 friends recently deliver at Methodist, so i was familiar with the rooms, act.. but the whole process.. not so much. So we learned about how we check in, where to park, visitation rules, etc.... which again... made me realize how close we are to actually needing to USE all the information we have been slowly accumulating over the past 9 months...

This upcoming week my family will be traveling to Houston to spend Thanksgiving with Ryan and I and Ryan's family! I think it is going to be SO GREAT to have both sides together to celebrate this wonderful time of year!!! We have so many things to be thankful for this year! We have truly been blessed in 2012 and I cant WAIT for the best blessing to get here soon!!

Week 34....... OMG I'm having this kid in 30-35 days.... approximately... EKK!!

The end of week 34.... WOW.....

I really cant believe that tomorrow we are starting week #35..... where did the time go!!!

This week I was lucky enough to sub in for our Admin team as they attended a conference!!! So it was just me and the counselors... and the day did not disappoint! I feel so blessed that my admin team has faith in me that I can handle the position and hold down the fort in their absence! I have subbed in a couple of times for them, and each time I do it makes me more and more excited for the career that I have to come!!! Now when it will come... we will see... but I know that this was what I was suppose dto do and I know that when the time is right and the school is right it will happen!!!

Anyways, the day was definitely busy and I did SO MANY THINGS, just none of them were on my to-do list! HAHA!! As a teacher, it's easy to forget all the demands that are placed on the administration team on a daily basis, and I feel that still being a teacher and occasionally experiencing "the other side" help me play devils advocate and open the minds of people who sometimes don't really understand what admin does all day and thinks that it is easy...

I have also taken on another business, because I'm not buys enough right???  HEHE! I decided to become a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant! I have been using their skincare line for years and LOVE IT!!!! I hardly ever break out, and if i do its directly stress related. Therefore, it made sense that I   go ahead and support and work for a company that I believe so strongly in their values and products!  I placed my first order for clients last week and I am waiting for it to come in!! If you need a Mary Kay Consultant, or just wanna try it out, let me know!! You can check out the products on my website!! www.MaryKay.com/RebeccaDietz

If you are interested in possible sets or Christmas gifts let me know and I can create a special package for you so you can save some $$$$ :) I personally LOVE the Satin Hands Set, The TimeWise Collection and the LipGlosses!!!

Swelling update : I ordered some compression stockings and they came in Tuesday. I wore them to work Wednesday - Friday and NO SWELLING! Praise Jesus!!! Also, i didn't wear them at all this weekend, and STILL no swelling!!! I will definitely keep wearing them to work because its great to see my ankle bone again!!!

However, another symptom has crept up on me.... one that I brushed off in my reading and paid NO ATTENTION to because i thought it was silly.... well.... its not..... its sucks! My new found "friend" is called pregnancy carpal tunnel syndrome....... yes, I am serious. I began noticing about 2 weeks ago that my hands were sore in the mornings... I figured i was just doing something weird in my sleep, or had a weird dream and didn't think anything of it. Then this past week, the pain in my left hand would WAKE ME UP at night.. and then when it was time to get up, i could barely bend or move my hand.... fabulous. After the shower and shaking the hand, it does loosen up after about 30 minutes, but throughout the day it feels sore, like i strained all my finger joints.... SO WEIRD!

According to www.WhatToExpect.com,

What is hand pain during pregnancy

Numbness, a "pins-and-needles" tingling sensation, or aching in the hands and wrists, especially noticeable at night. Your doctor may have also diagnosed you with carpal tunnel syndrome, which is characterized by pain, numbness, and tingling in your hands, fingers, and wrists.

What causes carpal tunnel during pregnancy

Pregnancy swelling puts pressure on a key nerve in the wrists and causes the same aching and tingling symptoms most often associated with ergonomic strain and repetitive motion. (Of course, if you're pregnant and having ergonomic strain or doing repetitive motion, you're twice as likely to experience it.)

What you need to know about hand pain or carpal tunnel during pregnancy

If you're feeling this pregnancy symptom more at night, it's because the fluids that accumulate in the lower part of your body during the day are redistributed elsewhere, including your hands, when you lie down. (Kind of reverse gravity.) Luckily, though, this symptom should disappear after delivery as your swelling diminishes.

So there is hope that it will go away... eventually.... but still, my little nighttime friend is QUICKLY wearing out his welcome!!!

November 19th is our next appointment to see how Ethan is growing, his position, and see if we are still on pace for our due date! For those of you who have been reading from the beginning, remember the ORIGINAL due date was December 10... and then it was pushed back a week to the 17th. However, each time they measure him, he has been measuring 2 week larger in size... so we will see!!!

I cannot believe that we start week 35 tomorrow!!! In 5 weeks, 35 days, we will finally meet our little man and become a family of 3 :) :)

33 weeks..... time is FLYING!!!

end of week #33

This week has flown by! Whoever said that your last trimester seems to last forever...... WAS WRONG!!! I don't know if its because I'm so busy at school or what, but time is definitely not creeping!

This week I went to the doctor for a little check up! I talked with her about my swelling and she referred me to a website to get supports hose..... sexy, i know.... So im thinking abut ordering some because this swelling is driving me CRAZY!!!! So ill let yall know next week how its going!!! Dr. Hunt said everything looked fine, Blood pressure was good, his heart rate was good and strong and the BEST part was that I FINALLY had an appointment where I DIDNT GAIN WEIGHT!!!! Praise Jesus... it was looking a little scary there for the last month!

Saturday I went to a baby shower for our friend Jamy and Clay who are ALSO having a little boy the week of Christmas! Im so excited to have a new mommy that I can call and chat with whose little one will be almost the same age as Ethan!! The shower was super cute and it was great to see people i hadn't seen in a while!! When i got home Ryan put together the pack and play and I stocked it, and we got out the car seat, base and stroller and began trying to figure those things out!!!

Sunday I was planning in going to Buy Buy Baby to stock up on some necessities that we needed before the baby arrived. Yes, we have gotten TONS of adorable things for Ethan and I couldn't feel more blessed, but I still needed things like Lanolin cream, breast pump accessories, milk storage bags... and lets be honest, who really wants to give that kinda stuff at a shower?!?!?!?! So anyways, I had received an email about a month ago saying that they were having a 20% off registry completion event Sunday from 9am - 11am i decided to just go buy the carseat base since they are never 20% off anywhere. I signed up and put in on my calendar. On Sunday I left the house at around 9:15 to drive out to the store... when i arrived at 9:35, the parking lot was empty...... I was a little confused so i drove by the doors and all the lights were off..... HMMMMMMMM. So i pulled up the email on my phone and called the number, well somehow I got sent the email by mistake and it was for the AUSTIN location! BUT they said that since it was a mistake on their end they would honor the 20% off and it would count toward anything i bought that day on my registry or not! SCORE!!!!!!! I found out inside that usually their registry completion coupon is only 10%, so i lucked out! So i decided to buy all the things that never do go on sale, like all the Medela products we needed, the car seat base, little newborn toys, cleaner, bath wash, lotions, feeding accessories, etc.

After my little shopping trip I definitely felt more ready incase Ethan decides to make his appearance early!! I cant believe we are so close! YAY!!!!

32 weeks down and 49 days to go!!!!

The end of 32 weeks!!! I cant believe in 50 days we will be meeting our little man!!!

So last Sunday we took our Maternity pics!!! And the proofs are IN!!! They are super cute!!!! Our photographer Destiny from Truth Haven Photography is Fabulous!!! These are just screen grabs until we get our CD!!!

Wednesday was my work shower, and it was so amazing!!! The decorations were super cute and Ethan  received so many amazing things!! We are so blessed to be loved by so many people!!!

P.S. It was college day... thats why I'm in a college shirt!

This past weekend was so busy!!!! Since we had such a crazy busy week, we came home Friday, went to eat at Fuddruckers with Ryans mom and granddad, and then came home and CRASHED!!! Saturday I  helped take some girls to perform at the University of Houston football game halftime show. I arrived at Shaw to pick up the girls with my Assistant Principal at 9:15 Saturday morning. We the drove to U of H for practice on the field from 10am - 1pm!! Thank goodness though it FINALLY got cold here! I was really dreading a 3 hour practice in 80 - 90 degree weather! After practice we met a bus load of other Shaw kiddos that came to attend the game too for hot dogs, chips and drinks at the Pavilion while we waited for the game to start. The first half the girls watched the game in the stands.... and if you didn't know U of H has a stadium that has like 4 steep  inclined ramps that you walk up to get to your seats... let me tell you how much fun THAT was 32 weeks preggo...... talk about a work out!

The girls performed with about 1400 girls from the Houston area!!! They did great!!! Since we don't actually have a dance team, we had to borrow outfits and poms from the high school.

Aren't they SO CUTE!!!!

After they performed we loaded up and came back home! I got home around 6... and did not move for the rest of the day!! It was one of those times where you feel fine... until you sit down and everything cramps up at once!!! Ryan had spent the day golfing so he was tired too! Needless to say it was an early night for me and Ryan!

Sunday I laid around and ran some errands and continued working on the explosion of baby stuff we have everywhere!!! Ryan had made plans a while back to play golf with some guys in Galveston, so he helped around the house till like 11 and then he went to play golf.  Such a busy weekend and we only have 7 left as just a family of 2 :)

Hope everyone has a great week!

31 weeks preggo... and Beer Olympic Champs!!! haha

End of our 31 weeks!!!

My My what a difference 20 weeks makes!!!

This week we went to an Infant Care class on Monday. It was very informative about what will happen once the baby is delivered and how/why the hospital does what it does to newborns. They also went over basic infant care and issues that babies have the first couple of weeks so we are prepared and I don't freak :) Although i could have done without the image of the little straight jacket they put little boys in to circumcise them...... how sad :(

Tuesday i had my Doctors appt to make sure everything was going okay :) Ethan's heartbeat was strong and all my labs and Glucose test came back good!!! My weight.... ehhhhhh not good and not bad..... just a little higher than she would like for it to be. Now im not saying im huge..... but i am currently at the weight that she was hoping  would be close to when i delivered..... not this soon. So im just going to start paying a little more attention to my diet and my sodium intake. But, besides that, everything is going well! Ethan even gave her a huge kick to say hello why she was monitoring his heartbeat! Crazy kid!

My belly is starting to get even bigger! This week i had two kids in the hallway RUN INTO IT! well, they weren't running... but you get the idea! I feel so blessed to have the privilege to work with such a loving and caring group of people and i am SUPER excited about the shower they are throwing us this week!!!

Friday.... was an experience........ So Fridays as a teacher are probably a preggos FAVORITE day because we can wear jeans and tennis shoes!! So I am normally my most comfy on those days! Well on Friday I was teaching class and i felt like around my ankle was bruised..... so i lifted my pant leg and saw this.....

No, do not adjust your screen and No, this is not a 500 pound persons foot.... that was MY FOOT.. and I freaked! I emailed the picture to our school nurse who immediately had me come down and check my blood pressure - Perfect- THANK GOD!!! But she did give me very strict instructions about swelling and how my blood pressure was good now, but i needed to be careful because obviously that is a huge amount of swelling... and i DO NOT want to be put on bed rest!!! She also wanted me to call my doctor and prop my feet up the rest of the day. So i called my doctor and talked to the nurse to make them aware. SJe asked me about any of the preeclamsia symptoms and i didn't have any, so thats good, but she told me to limit my sodium intake and stay of my feet as much as possible when not at school. So when i got home Ryan made me stay in bed and made me breakfast in bed :) He is awesome!

The next day we had our friend Bryan's birthday party, which was a theme party, Beer Olympics! Now, obviously i cant partake in the drinking aspect, Ryan took care of my share, but that didnt mean i couldn't compete!! We had 4 games - Washers, Beer Pong, Darts, and Hockey ( a card game). Well Ryan and I got 2nd place in Washers, 1st place in Beer Pong, 3rd place in Darts and 3rd Place in Hockey... after the points were tabulated.. WE WON!!!!!! Ethan would be so proud!!!

Getting ready to DOMINATE!

Beer Pong Champs!

Dirty Dietz is the WINNER!!!!

Team Pics!

The next morning we attended our friends Taryn and Patricks daughter Kamryn's baptism. She was so cute!!! Then we went over to their house for a luncheon and cake! Yum!! We left at half time of the Texans game and came home to take a quick power nap, well i did, Ryan finished watching the game! Then it was time to get ready for our maternity pics!!! We took then out on some land in Alvin and I cannot WAIT to see them!!! I think they are going to be super cute!!!

PHEW! what a busy weekend we had!!! 57 days left until Ethan's due date and we still have so much to do!!! But i guess it will all eventually fall into place! I cannot believe that we will be meeting out little man soon!! I am overwhelmed with excitement already!!

Week 30.... 10 weeks to go!!!

The end of week 30 :)

This week, once again, was CRAZY busy!!! Monday we attended a breastfeeding class at our hospital. It was very informative and had tons of take home info as well! Although it did kinda make me nervous!!!! I know women have been doing it since the beginning of time.... but its just seems so strange to me... and awkward. I am such a type A person that I know I am going to need to chill out and relax and learn that it is something that takes time and that I cannot control. It made me really start to realize that I am about to no longer be in control of every situation, i cant plan and schedule everything anymore.. and it kinda freaks me out! But i know that I have a ton of support on my side of the family, Ryans side of the family, and our friends that I can call if i have any questions!

Wednesday was our 3 year anniversary! We went to Killens Steakhouse! It was soooo yummy!! If you live in the Houston area you MUST check it out!!! I received an email a while ago from Cowboys Stadium saying they were having a Pre-sale of March Madness Southern Finals tickets. The image had a picture of the Kansas University basketball team. Well Ryan is a HUGE Kansas basketball fan and I thought this would be a PERFECT gift! Well they didn't go on sale until the day after our anniversary, so i printed out the email and put it in a card, planning to buy the tickets October 11. So on Wednesday before we went to dinner I gave him my card, SO excited for him to open it! He smiled and asked if i had already bought the tickets, I said no, they went on sale the next day. He then began to explain to me that no one knows who will play in the South Finals, until closer to the date..... SERIOUSLY!!!! I mean i know that they don't "know" the brackets yet..... but Kansas goes every year, and the were the COVER PICTURE for the email!!!!! UGH thats probably how they sell tickets, uninformed wives! So there went MY anniversary gift! Ryan, however, is smart and got me a Keurig Platinum!!! It is amazing!!!!! I love it!

Friday my parents came into town for the Houston shower! They brought with them the cradle that My brothers, cousins and I slept in when we were little!!! My mom even made new bumpers and sheets for little Ethan to have! It looks great!

Saturday was our AMAZING shower!!! I don't have all the pictures yet, but below are some highlights!!! The theme was adorable and little Ethan is so loved!!! The hostesses did an amazing job!!!

After the shower my mom, dad, Ryan and I spent all day Sunday doing baby laundry and organizing all the stuff we have for Ethan so far! Talk about OVERWHELMING!!!! But his room is slowly but surely coming along!!!

Hope everyone has a great week!!! Week #31 here we come!!!

Kisses!
