Hello Third Trimester!!!!

The last day of the Second Trimester!!!!

Well this week has been busy, but what else is new???

My birthday, the big 2-9, was on Monday!!! My sweet work friends decorated my room and even had a cake to celebrate at lunch!! YUM!!! That evening Ryan and I went to P.F. Changs for dinner and then Sprinkles Cupcakes for dessert! Just what a big preggo wants :) :) Its weird to think that I am a year away from thirty and that this time next year I will have a 9 month old to celebrate with me!! INSANE!!!

I am still having a pretty great pregnancy! I still have the back pain, but who doesn't?? The only thing that i have begun noticing is the swelling in my toes and fingers.. but im hoping with the cooler weather heading this way, and by cooler i mean the 80's, that hopefully this will subside a little bit! Also, this week i got a little head cold :( nothing super bad, just a lot of pressure, and blowing your nose is a lot more difficult preggo... which i never considered before! But hopefully this will pass and ill be back to normal soon!

School is going well, although this belly has begun running into things! By things i mean kids, desks, chairs, doors, etc... everything! I keep forgetting its there! I had to lower my chair at work so that i could pull up to my desk without giving poor Ethan a concussion! haha! I cant believe that I only have 12 weeks left at school before he comes ( if i work up until the day he comes)!!! It blows my mind!!! I still have SO MUCH TO DO to get ready to be out for 11 weeks! That is the one thing that sucks about being gone, unlike other jobs, i still have to plan for every day that I am out, in advance, and PRAY that the person doing my sub job understands and does a good job! STRESS!!!!!

It is odd though how different people think i look.... I get comments that range from " wow i cant believe you're so far along and still so small" to "DANG your only 7 months? My daughter was your size when she gave birth!!" SO its kinda hard for me to judge how I "look".... I have worked hard at trying to stay healthy during this whole preggo experience, and sometimes when i step on the scale I'm just in SHOCK! Not obsessed by any means, i know i need to gain weight... but its just weird to see the scale say numbers that I have never seen it say before...... and know that its only gonna go up! haha! 

Saturday morning I went to the Framers Market in Alvin with my friends Lauren and Taryn. This place is so great!! I loaded up on fresh fruits and veggies!! I've read that from this point till "the end" I'm gonna really start packing on the pounds..... well at least i can make sure they are healthy food pounds!!! After we left the market we went to Taryns to eat lunch and watch her make her first batch of food for Kamryn!!! I also wanted to watch so I could learn and it was super easy. Her first meal was  sweet potatoes and she loved it!! She is a DOLL!!! Also today Ryan went and bought a new TRUCK!! I am so glad that he finally has a new truck that has everything he wants! He was supposed to get a new truck almost 2 years ago, but them my car crapped out, so i cut in line and got a new car instead... opps :) This truck has so much room in the back for the baby and is super safe!

Today was also a GREAT day in football world! Both the Cowboys and the Texans won! YAY!!!

This week has really made me reflect on how lucky I am to have the people I have in my life. I feel so blessed to have such a loving and supportive family, in-laws, husband and friends. This kiddo is going to go grow up knowing so much love and support and I am so thankful to have these special people in my life!!

Week 26 has flown by!!!

Week 26 :) Not the best picture... but the Cowboys game was about to start... PRIORITIES people :)

This week has literally flown by!!!! Not much has been going on except the fact that my friend Melissa had her BABY!!!! Blythe Elizabeth was born on Monday! I went up on Tuesday to see them and she is just precious! Melissa and I have the same doctor and will be delivering in the same hospital... so naturally the game 20 questions was played:) She had a GREAT experience which makes me happy and excited that I will be in great hands! 

I cant believe our showers are coming up within the next month!!! Its crazy to think that its already mid September! My birthday is Monday ( tomorrow) and I cant believe I will be 29!!!! This has been such a busy year and it will be capped off with the arrival of our little one!!

This past week Ethan has decided that 3am is play time... and when i say playtime i mean gymnastics and kung fu time..... its WAY more activity at once that he does during the day....... its CRAZY!!!

Saturday we went over to our Kady's parents house to hang out with friends and swim! Then we all went to Ichibon Hibachi grill for dinner in Kemah :) it was sooooo good!!! I forget how yummy those places are!

Sunday we went over to my in-laws house for a birthday breakfast feast!!! YUMMY! French toast, blueberry muffins, pancakes, biscuits, eggs, and bacon..... a preggos DREAM!!! The kids (2 nieces and 2 nephews) cleaned the toy room and then showed me how they had separated out all the toys that Baby Ethan will play with... SO CUTE!! They are super excited to have a new cousin!!!

This next week is our our last week in the second trimester! Then we will be 2/3 the way done!!! NUTS!!!! There is still SO MUCH TO DO and we have 13 weeks to do it :):)

13 free weekends left...... thats it....... then everything will change........ and I think we are ready for the change :) Come on DECEMBER!

99 Days to go and counting......

Today was the last day of week 25 of our journey of being a family of 3!!

This week was the second week of school...... and it was exhausting! On Tuesday I went to the doctor, all is good :) I am measuring where I am supposed to be and we wont have another ultrasound of the little one for another 10 weeks! But he definitely doesn't let me forgot about him... he is a mover and a shaker!!!!

On Wednesday night we watched our FIRST Cowboy game..... little man was impressed! I think he is gonna be a fan of both teams!!!! Today we watched the Texans, who also won!!! So he has 2 amazing teams to route for when he gets here in December! Who knows, hopefully one of these teams will be in the Super Bowl and little man can show his support! - Saw this onesie at Target... SO CUTE!!! But, I didn't buy it... see image and text below for reasoning..... :)

This week i borrowed a book from a girl at work that was written by Jenny McCarthy called Belly Laughs. I read it in 1 day... it was pretty cute!! It was break down of what happens to your body while being pregnant and during labor... but in a funny way! This one chapter was about 2 months too late....... hahaha! So true though...... I'm not letting myself buy ANYTHING else!

On Saturday, Ryan and his friend PJ went to pick up the baby furniture! Taryn and Kamyrn hung out with me while they were gone!! Kamryn wore her adorable little aggies outfit I bought for her!!!  Today Ryan set up the crib and moved the chest into the room!! I am so excited! Ill post more pics once all the furniture is in place, centered, etc.....

I cant believe September is already here! These last 2 weeks of school have flown by!!! We have 99 days till our little mans estimated arrival and I have a feeling it is going to get here before we know it!!!

Started on the NURSERY!!!!!

Week 25 is here and we are marching our way toward the third trimester in 3 weeks!!!! INSANE!

This past weekend we went and picked out paint for the nursery! Ryan painted 3 of the walls a really pretty muted blue! He did a GREAT job!!! Then on Thursday we had Kathy from www.MuralsbyKathy.com come out and paint an AWESOME mural in Ethan's room!! It turned out better than I could have ever imagined! I cannot WAIT for the furniture to get added to see how it looks!!!!

This week was the first week of school!!! It was so weird being back in the school and setting up for a new bunch of kiddos. Monday was meet the teacher and some of my past kiddos who have siblings coming to Shaw stopped by to say hi!! Its CRAZY home much they have grown!!! It makes me wonder what Ethan will look like when he is their age? Its weird to think of myself and Ryan going to a meet the teacher and being on the other side!

Tuesday was the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! As the day started I began to miss some of my favorites from the year before!!! Then as the day went on I became SO SORE!!!!! I mean I thought going to the gym would help me stay ready for school to start... well i was wrong! I dunno if it was carrying around all the extra weight in the same area, standing on my feet all day, or what, but my sides hurt SO BAD when i got home....... Feet hurt, sides hurt, back hurt.... I was a mess!!! As the week progressed the discomfort slightly got better.... fingers crossed I just have to get back into the swing of things...... :)

We, well Ryan, was going to go pick up the furniture Saturday..... and I was SO EXCITED...... and then it started to rain :( BOOOOOOO!!!! So i guess ill have to wait until next weekend :( So instead I was a TOTAL BUM all day Saturday..... watching FRIENDS reruns, lesson planning, and napping....... i was SO unproductive..... but oh well :)

Going to the Doctor Tuesday, hope we get a good and healthy report :)
